Brazos County A&M Club gives nearly $100,000 to A&M

Today at its year-end meeting, the Brazos County A&M Club awarded $99,750 to support Texas A&M programs and scholarships.
Club President Michael Hardy ’13 said, “By making these gifts back to the university, we can ensure the next generation of Aggies will have the same opportunities at Texas A&M as those before them had. Thank you to our amazing club members, loyal supporters, and club Officers and Directors for an incredible 2015.”
The Club presented:
$50,000 to complete its Regents Scholarship endowment with the Texas A&M Foundation.
$26,250 to establish an Aggie Ring Veteran Scholarship through The Association of Former Students.
$15,000 to the 12th Can Food Pantry, a student project that helps feed A&M students, faculty and staff in times of need.
$6,000 to Career Closet, a student project that will provide clothing for Aggie students to borrow for job interviews and professional events; the Career Closet will open Jan. 19.
$2,500 to Texas A&M’s libraries.
The Club also honored volunteers, gave its year-end financial report and elected 2016 officers at the lunch meeting.
