New Report Says Yes

According to a new report, Future State of Smallpox Medical Countermeasures, smallpox could return through an accidental “leak,” or even through an act of terrorism. Dr. Zhilong Yang, an associate professor in the VMBS’s Department of Veterinary Pathobiology, served on the committee that produced the report.
