AG TAG

What is required to get an Ag Tag?
  1. You must have an account (free or paid) at TexAgs.com
  2. You must be a current or former student of Texas A&M University in College Station, Galveston, Qatar, the Law School or the Health Science Center.
  3. You must have an account at AggieNetwork.com
  4. The email address on file with us must match the email address on file with TexAgs. You also will need to record your Aggie ID Number so you can enter it on TexAgs.com to initiate verification. Your Aggie ID Number is listed on your Aggie Profile page, under the Biographic Info section.
How do I initiate the verification process?
Visit your TexAgs account page and scroll down to "Account Verifications." Click the link and input your Aggie ID Number, which you can find on your AggieNetwork.com profile page.
How long does the verification process take?
It is practically instantaneous.
I have never activated my account on AggieNetwork.com. How do I do that?
Create an account at https://www.aggienetwork.com/createaccount.aspx. If you had an existing account, this will sync up with it.
How do I update my email address on AggieNetwork.com?
Go to your Aggie Profile and click "edit" beside your email address.
How do I update my email address on TexAgs.com?
Where do I find my Aggie ID number?
Go to your Aggie Profile.
I set up an account on AggieNetwork.com a long time ago and I don’t remember my login info.
Reset your password or use the new account creation system; it will sync with the previous info.
The verification didn’t work. Now what?
First, make sure your email address at TexAgs.com matches your email address on your AggieNetwork.com profile. Then make sure you entered the correct Aggie ID Number, which you can find on your profile page. If you have checked both those things and it still doesn’t work, please send an email to Web@AggieNetwork.com and we will look into it.
What information does TexAgs share with The Association? Will they give you my TexAgs username?
No. TexAgs’ system sends our system only your email address and the Aggie ID Number that you input. The system is entirely automated and no humans on our staff see the information that is exchanged.
What information does The Association share with TexAgs?
Upon receiving a verification request, our system passes back to TexAgs.com your name, Class year, email address, whether you are a current or former student or neither, your zip code, and your donor status (“yes” or “no” only).
Do I have to be an Association donor to get an Ag Tag?
No. All current or former Texas A&M students are eligible for an Ag Tag, regardless of donor status.
What if I attended but didn’t graduate?
Even if you didn’t graduate, you are still a former student and thus eligible for an Ag Tag.
I just graduated. Do I have to re-verify, if I did while I was a student?
No, your status as a former or current student will be updated automatically.
I’m a former A&M student but I’m not in your database!
Please fill out this quick online form and we will reply with instructions on how to login.
I’m not a former student but I want to get an Aggie Spirit Tag. How do I do that?
That is up to TexAgs, not The Association. See the TexAgs FAQ.
My spouse and I share an email address. Can we both get verified?
Yes. If you are both Aggies, then you have different Aggie ID Numbers.
I have been accepted and enrolled as a student at Texas A&M. Why am I not showing up in The Association’s database?
You cannot be verified for an Ag Tag as a current student based only on acceptance or enrollment; we have to hear from the university that you have actually begun attending classes. We generally receive that information within a few weeks following the Drop Date of your first semester.
I am a former or current student of Texas A&M-Kingsville (or Commerce or Texarkana or one of the other System schools). Can I get an Ag Tag?
No. Students and former students of Texas A&M University in College Station and the two branches of the main campus—Galveston and Qatar—are eligible. Students at Texas A&M Law School and the Health Science Center are eligible, as are Law and HSC graduates since the 2013 mergers. Students at the following A&M System institutions are not eligible: Prairie View A&M University, Tarleton State University, Texas A&M International University, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Texas A&M University-Texarkana, and West Texas A&M University.

ASSOCIATION DONOR TAG

What is required to get an Association Donor Tag?
  1. You must be a current donor to The Association of Former Students (Active level or above). You can check your status by going to your Profile Tools page by clicking on your name at the top of the screen.  Online gifts of $50 or more to a Ring or Memorial scholarship within the past 12 months will also give you a Donor Tag.
    1. For RECURRING gifts, "current" is 12 months from the INITIAL gift. i.e. You gave $10 a month for 12 months starting on Oct 1, 2011. Even though your last gift was on Sep 1, 2012, your Bronze Century Club level will lapse on Oct 1, 2012.
    2. For ONE-TIME gifts, it is 12 months from your last gift date. If you gave a one-time gift of $250 on Dec 20, 2011, then on Nov 7, 2012, you are still considered current. Your Silver Century Club level (for 2011) will lapse on Dec 21, 2012.
    3. FUTURE gifts will not make you current. When you donate in the 4th quarter, we give you the option to credit that donation to the next year, for your tax purposes. If you give for the next year, but did not give for the current year (i.e., do not have a year bar for the current year), then you will not be active until Jan 1 of the next year.
  2. You must have an account at AggieNetwork.com
  3. The email address on file with us must match the email address on file with TexAgs.
  4. You also will need to record your Aggie ID Number so you can enter it on TexAgs.com to initiate verification.
  5. You also must be a paid subscriber to TexAgs.com (to sign up for a TexAgs account, visit http://texags.com/account). Donor Tags are not available to TexAgs users with free accounts.
Do I have to be a verified Aggie to get a donor tag?
No. If you donate, you will be added to The Association’s database—even if you are not a former or current student—and the donor verification process will work.
How do I initiate the verification process?
Visit your TexAgs account page at and scroll down to "Account Verifications." Click the link and input your Aggie ID Number, which you can find on your Aggie Profile.
How long does the verification process take?
Assuming you are a current donor and that you made the donation while logged into your AggieNetwork.com account, it is practically instantaneous. If you donate while not logged in, you have to wait while we manually match your donation to your account.
How much do I have to donate to qualify for an Association Donor Tag?
The minimum gift for an Association Donor Tag is $50 per year, which makes you an Active donor. Century Club membership starts at $100 per year. Discounts may be available for current students, recent graduates, and faculty. A full breakdown of the benefits of different levels of giving can be found on our Donor Levels page.
What’s the easiest way to donate?
Just visit aggienetwork.com/give. Ensure you are logged in so you can get instant verification.
I just donated. How long will it take before I can verify my donor status?
Assuming there are no problems with your payment method, your donor status on AggieNetwork.com will be updated instantly and you can then initiate the verification process at TexAgs.com. However, be sure to donate while you are logged into your AggieNetwork.com account. If you donate while not logged in, you have to wait while we manually match your donation to your account.

If you make a joint gift with your spouse, you can verify instantly, but your spouse will have to wait for us to manually update his/her account.
What happens when my donation lapses?
You donor status will be re-verified every month. That will happen automatically; you don’t have to do anything to initiate it. Your Association Donor Tag will go away when your annual donation lapses, unless you renew your donation. You can verify your donor status on your Profile Tools page.
What will you do with my donation?
We raise the Annual Fund to support alumni and student activities, scholarships, financial aid, academics, faculty enrichment programs, traditions and much more. The average annual gift to The Association is about $14 a month.

When you give to The Association, you are combining your gift with the power of tens of thousands of donors worldwide. Those combined funds ensure that the Aggie Spirit will be nurtured through programs like Aggie Ring Day and New Student Orientation; preserved through traditions such as Aggie Muster; and shared by Aggies everywhere through 241 A&M Clubs in every corner of the world. You can learn more about how your gift is used at aggienetwork.com/giving/impact.aspx.
Can I break down my gift into multiple payments?
Yes, the online giving form lets you set up multiple payments when you choose the “recurring gift” option.
The donor verification process didn’t work. Now what?
  1. Make sure the email address in your TexAgs.com account matches your email address on your AggieNetwork.com profile.
  2. Make sure you entered the correct Aggie ID Number, which you can find on your profile page.
  3. Check your Association donor status on your AggieNetwork.com Profile Tools page to make sure your donor status has not lapsed.

If still doesn’t work, please send an email to Web@AggieNetwork.com so we can look into it.
Does becoming an Association donor mean I am also eligible for an Ag Tag?
Ag Tags are only available to current and former students. That status is not affected by your donor status.
What information does TexAgs share with The Association? Will they give you my TexAgs username?
No. TexAgs’ system sends our system only your email address and the Aggie ID Number that you input. The system is entirely automated and no humans see the information that is exchanged.
What information does The Association share with TexAgs?
We pass back to TexAgs your name, Class year, email address, whether you are a current or former student  or neither, your zip code, and your donor status (“yes” or “no” only).
Does The Association of Former Students also verify 12th Man Donor accounts?
No. There are three separate, independent fundraising organizations that support Texas A&M University.

The Association of Former Students raises the university’s Annual Fund, which supports both alumni and student activities, academics and traditions.

The 12th Man Foundation funds scholarships, programs, and facilities in support of championship athletics.

The Texas A&M Foundation solicits major endowed gifts from donors who decide the specific areas of the university they want to fund.
