UPDATE, POSTED APRIL 11, 2019

Due to the potential for severe weather in our area Saturday, The Association of Former Students will move Saturday Ring Day operations to the Student Rec Center. Friday’s Ring Day operations will remain at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center, although with a different entrance than at past Ring Days.

Students receiving Aggie Rings this weekend received an email Wednesday night from The Association with information about the changes. Volunteers will also receive direct communication from The Association.

Below is information specific to each day. We encourage you to share this information with anyone planning to attend.

Friday Ring Day at the Alumni Center

Friday’s forecast is sunny and clear.

The entrance to Ring Day has moved to the Alumni Center’s parking lot, which is on the east side of the building, by Throckmorton Street; Houston Street will be closed beginning at 7:30 a.m. Friday. No parking is available at the Alumni Center. If attendees ride the Ring Day Shuttle from West Campus Garage or Lot 100, they will be dropped off at the correct entrance. This shuttle is ADA-compliant and can drop them at an entrance with a ramp.

There are still slots available for Friday’s Ring Day. Ring recipients can change their Ring Ticket at The Association website.

More details.

Saturday Ring Day at the Rec

Park on West Campus and enter the Rec Center’s main entrance, which faces West Campus Garage. The Rec is next to WCG, which offers a $5 Ring Day rate. Details are available for prepayment on the Transportation Services website. Anyone with a valid campus pass can park in Lot 100 on Saturday. No Ring Day shuttles will run on Saturday.

More details are available from The Association.

General info

Attendees don’t need to arrive more than 15-20 minutes before the Ring recipient’s group time. The lines look long, but they move quickly.

Throughout each day, The Association will post status updates. They will include whether the day is proceeding on schedule and any other important announcements or useful tips. Updates will also be posted on Twitter at @AggieRingDay.

Almost 6,300 Aggies and tens of thousands of friends and family will participate in Ring Day over the course of the two days.

Maroon and White Game

With heavy rain and lightning in the weather forecast for Saturday, Texas A&M Football’s 2019 Maroon & White Spring Game has been moved to Friday evening. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. at Kyle Field.

“We understand that moving an event of this magnitude affects countless individuals and has many logistical challenges; however, getting the game played is important to our fans and our football program,” Texas A&M Director of Athletics Scott Woodward said.  “With Saturday’s weather forecast, we believe it is in the best interest of our fans’ experience and the safety of our student athletes to move the game to Friday.”

The Maroon & White Spring Game is now a free event and refunds will be issued to fans who purchased tickets to the game (please note, refunds may take up to two weeks to process). Additionally, fans who purchased access to premium areas and/or premium parking for the event will receive additional information from the 12th Man Foundation.
