On behalf of the Asian Presidents’ Council (APC), we would like to invite you to participate and celebrate APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi-American) Heritage Month in April 2022. The purpose of APIDA Heritage Month is to celebrate and amplify the voices of students in the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) community. AHM at Texas A&M University allows students the opportunity to engage in festivities and educational programs before the end of the semester.
We are currently seeking student organizations, departments, and/or faculty members who are interested in hosting events that are centered around the APIDA heritage, experience, and identity. All approved events will be included in our AHM Calendar!
This year’s AHM theme is Nurture Your Nature. We chose this theme because we want to show the diverse and rich culture and resilience of the APIDA Aggie community and remind our community to take care of ourselves. Through this, we hope to unite and strengthen our community, educate and develop an understanding of our history, reflect on our personal experiences, and thus, embrace our authentic selves to actively create progress for our Texas A&M community. We hope to provide an opportunity and a platform for the APIDA Community to share their stories to Texas A&M Campus.
If you or your organization is interested in hosting an event or program during APIDA Heritage Month, please fill out this form. The deadline to submit an event is March 4th by 11:59 PM.
Please note the following:
•
Your organization/department is responsible for hosting the event as well as tracking registration and attendance.
•
At the discretion of APC, your event may not be included if it does not fit the purpose of APIDA Heritage Month.
•
If there are any changes to your event (date/time/location) after you have already submitted a form, please contact Erin Feng or Andrew Hsiung at
